Sorry folks for the long pause in between but the truth is that I was busy with family. Been visiting everyone around the globe lately and you know how parents can be like. They just want ALL of your time! Not that I am complaining of course! I love you guys!
Right on then. On to the news at hand.
Warner Bros has now officially confirmed that they will reboot the Superman franchise. You heard me. REBOOT. Makes me wonder if that means they might do away with Routh and relaunch Superman much like The Incredible Hulk or Batman Begins.

The first thing that catches your attention about Tropic Thunder is Ben Stilleras the director. At lease that is what made me groan the first time I heard about the movie! Having endured his last directorial attempt: Zoolander, I feared the worst for Tropic Thunder. Still what I saw in the trailers and read in the previews somehow comforted me that maybe, just maybe, this time it would be a different experience.
It was thus with fingers crossed that I went to see Tropic Thunder and I am happy to report that it did manage to tickle my funny bone here and there.
I didn’t walk out with the confidence that TT (Tropic Thunder) will be the funniest movie of the season. Nothing against Ben Stiller but it is way too early in the year for such declarations. Let’s not confuse my verdict on The Dark Knight. We all know TDK was a league apart. TT, however, just might have the potential to be a comical giant for 2008.

MTV Movie Blog has reported that Anaconda 3 is indeed slithering closer and closer to release and standing shoulder to shoulder with the slitherings this time are the likes of David Hasselhoff and John Rhys-Davies.
The plot follows a mercenary who joins a team to capture a dangerous anaconda when it escapes from a top secret lab. It is revealed that the anaconda has been modified with an immortality drug, which makes it more vicious, intelligent and dangerous. More so, this sneaky reptile is about to give birth to a lot many more like it and must stopped at all cost!
A shame though that this movie is a Direct to DVD release slated for October 21 this year. However, it has already been aired on the SCI FI channel on July 26.
From what I have heard and read about the movie, there are poor CGI efforts behind the two anacondas but there is some solace to be found with the presence of the hot PhD and snake expert Crystal Allen, who accoding to one commentator, is a smoking hot blonde and spends almost the entire movie in a tight, form-fitting tank top (see poster).

Bad news for the Transformers sequel in the making! Just read at
/Filmthat Mr. LeBeouf might have one or two of his fingers amputated owing to the
DUI accident back in July!
Already, there had been an air of uncertainty around the sets ever since director Bay had declared that the storyline for the upcoming sequel will have to be altered to make space for Shia’s injury. Now with the news of a possible amputation, the project has been hit by an even bigger turmoil.
Hollywood does not make movies or write scripts/plots as they go along. If indeed this news holds true and Shia goes along with an amputation, this would mean some serious changes. Don’t forget that it is not entirely possible to shoot around an amputated hand so probably several scenes might have to be re-shot. That is only a handful of complications I could figure out from the top of my head. I’m sure Bay is not an easy soul at this point. And what about Shia? He or his representative have so far declined to comment on the recent development.
Will this push the production towards a possible delay?
Could this incident and its consequences eventually undermine the quality and success of the sequel?
Questions, Questions!

Hold up!
What is this I hear about Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen over at CHUD?
Megatron may be getting brought back by the Autobots, who need him to conquer the new menace. But I’ve learned that this time he won’t be that weird alien jet. This time he’s a tank.
Now we’re talking!
Don’t know a lot about Fallen but Megatron has been the ultimate badass of the Transformers saga in my eyes. The notion of Autobots joining forces with the head of Decepticons to defeat an even mightier and more evil enemy is like whoa! I’m dying to find out how Fallen looks like! Will he make Optimus and Megatron cry ‘uncle’?

Within a record 18 days of its release, The Dark Knight has struck another landmark as it surpassed $ 400 Million. According to mediabynumbers, The movie amounted for $ 158,411,483 at the end of the first week of its release. The second week it grabbed $ 75,166,466 and the third week resulted in $ 42,664,219 thus giving it a total earning of $ 400,031,000 so far!
With this kind of response to the sequel, it only raises the bar for Christopher Nolan and his crew to make an even better and breath-taking Batman 3! My goodness, you mean they have to try to top The Dark Knight? Holy popcorn and cheese nachos!
